Lesson #5 - Job Interviews (2)

For practicing job interviews, we took a look at some of the most common interview questions. Here is a useful resource for that purpose by Monster.com, including 100 potential interview questions.

For combining language learning and job search, here is also a useful link to BBC Learning English site related to these topics.

See you on May 1st! Our next topic is going to be food and eating! :)

Lesson #4 - Job Interviews (1)

During the lesson, we discussed the key things which we have learned from our past interviews and which will help us in our interviews in the future. Here's the list of things we reached:

  • Be happy, i.e. don't worry
  • Listen well
  • Answer the questions in a concise manner
  • Establish the connection with the interviewer - be empathetic
  • Let your personality shine - it might count a lot more than your past experience
  • Ask questions about the company, too
  • Be prepared - think of the potential questions and practice the answers before the interview
  • Among other things, take the interview as a learning experience - a chance to get to know yourself and people and life better
